Getting Started

Separate the SIM card from the plastic card, then insert the SIM card into your phone.

Please note that this SIM card is fully compatible with all phone models.

By default the Global Profile is set, which is indicated with *. If you are in any country except the USA and Italy, select «Use current setting». If you are in the USA you are to select the «USA», and «Italy» if you are in Italy. While in Italy, you are to use the TIM network.

After that, you need to get registered with the local network.

To restore your American or English number (if subscribed previously), dial *133#, then click «Send». You will then receive a text message with the details.

Incoming calls

A SIM card supports 2 numbers: an English and an American one (if subscribed previously).
Calls can be received at any of these numbers at any time and in any country, but you will have additional costs when receiving incoming calls on your US number.

Outgoing calls

Dial a number in the international format, eg: +4412345647890. Then click «Call».

i.e. dial +441234567890 «Call»
1. You will see the message: «Please Wait» or «Callback requested».
2. You will then receive an incoming call.
3. Answer the call – wait for a few seconds and you will be connected with the subscriber you called to.
NOTE. If no callback received, the problem may be caused by incompatibility of the phone. You need to dial *number in the international format#. Eg: *441234567890# «Call».

Calls History and Account Details


To log in to your account, go to our website www.smart-sim.ru and click on «Enter». Click on the link and you will see the field «Enter». Your User name is your English number 447* xxххххх, your password is your 8-digit PUK-number, written on the plastic holder of your SIM card. If you forgot your PUK-number, please, contact the Customer Support at support@smart-sim.ru

Replenishment of the account

Log in as usual to our site. Your payment is topped up to the account.

Voice Mail

Voice Mail is automatically connected to your card. The caller will be routed to Voice Mail if you do not answer a call within 30 seconds, or if the phone is switched off. You will be sent a text message indicating a Voice Mail message.

To receive Voice Mail, dial *121#.

For Voice Mail Control use the following options, dial:

*121# Access to messages (messages will be played starting from the last one received)
*122# Enable Voice Mail
*122xx# Set the time interval before Voice Mail to turn on (eg: *12245 # Set – if no answer given within 45 seconds, Voice Mail turns on)
*123# Disable Voice Mail
*125# Check Voice Mail Settings

Text Messages (SMS)

Your SIM card fully supports Text Messaging Standard (SMS) to receive incoming and send outgoing messages. To send a text message, write your message as usual. The message will be sent from the profile being currently active. Messages are received to your American or English number depending on what profile is active. Messages can be received to the US number if the SIM card is located in the USA.

A phone number will be identified by the subscriber who receives a call depending on what profile is active

Call Forwarding

You can divert calls from your mobile to your number XXXX, so you do not miss a call while you are away. You can also forward calls from your number XXXX to any other number. Refer to the fees at our site.

Call Record

To record any calls, dial #*1. To disable recording, dial #*2.

Go to www.XXXX and log in to your account. Click on «Call details» and look through your calls made; you will also see a cassette icon. Click on it to open a media player, and recording starts.

Conference Call

You can use SIM card XXXX to convert any call to a conference call. Once you have connected to the first subscriber, simply dial #*3. You will hear a voice prompt asking you to enter a new number. Within seconds, the subscriber will be added to the conference call. Repeat this sequence to add other participants.

Changing Profiles

To change a profile, simply restart your phone and select the desired profile.

There may be found a very small quantity of mobile phones in which that menu does not appear, and in this case you need to find the SIM-menu and change the profile there. To activate the new profile, you are to restart your phone.

Troubleshooting


I can not make calls

1. Make sure that the SIM card is correctly installed.
2. Make sure you get a signal.
3. Make sure the balance in your account is sufficient enough to make or receive calls. In those countries where incoming calls are not for free, there are to be facilities on your card for successful incoming calls.
4. Make sure you dial * before the number and # after.
5. Make a test call using *133# and check if you get a network message and a text message indicating your telephone number.

Call Quality Problems

In a rare event when your call quality is poor, check out the selected network. If you have a good signal, please, release the call and repeat dialing. If this does not solve the problem, please, try to change the network; to do this refer to your Phone User Manual.
